Michael Moore-Missoulian Reporter on Tuesday

Several years ago Michael Moore wrote a series of articles for the Missoulian called "Lost Boys of the Flathead". The series came after two 11-year olds died from hypothermia and acute alcohol poisoning after drinking vodka, passing out and spending the night out in the cold. Michael looked at the deaths of these two boys, but also the bigger picture of alcohol abuse on the reservation. What he saw was not pretty. Michael is going to talk with you about covering a different culture and the care he took in getting this story. He'll also talk about when a reporter needs to reveal ugly truths and when the public is better served by keeping that information to yourself.
